Fergrupo is the GRUPO COMSA’s building company for railway superstructures and infrastructures in Portugal. Since 1989, Fergrupo has acted in all the areas of railway infrastructure: construction, maintenance, engineering, electrification, communication, etc., offering an integral service to its clients.

It has collaborated in the modernisation of the Portuguese railway network, participating in all the country’s major works. Cutting edge technology equipment and a heavy commitment to innovation have been key points in its development.

The company's constant concern to satisfy the expectations of its clients, and of the general public have made FERGRUPO the first Portuguese company in railway construction to obtain the Quality System Certification, in 1999, now adapted to the new ISO 9001:2000; as well as the introduction of the Environmental Management System, in accordance with ISO 14001, in 2003, differentiating itself from its competitors once again, and being a pioneer in the transition of the regulation process of Regulation ISO 9000 and in obtaining the Environmental Management System Certification in the sector.
