The 1980s: consolidation of the market at home In the decade of the eighties, the company consolidated its presence throughout the country: Asturias, Andalusia, Galicia, Castile. A new phase of diversification of activities also began, with property and   aggregates. From the mid eighties, the fast growth of road transport, which became saturated, led to a transformation of the railway which sought new functions, an area for action and new objectives as part of land transport.
