Prevention

Since 1982, when the GRUPO COMSA started its first actions in the line of Risk Prevention, it has obtained many achievements in this area.

During 2003, it continued with the introduction of the Prevention system and methodology of the Group in Spain: in the same way, it has taken on the introduction of the prevention processes in its foreign subsidiaries.

Through the Joint Prevention Service of the GRUPO COMSA, created in 2002 and which covers all the companies in the Group, Risk Assessment in offices has been updated and the relevant Emergency Drills have been carried out.

During 2003, we continued increasing the Training of our own technical staff in new specialities, such as Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics and Psycho-Sociology. In 2003, the Training in safety issues represented an increase of more than 135% compared to the previous year.

In the same way, the introduction of the ongoing evaluation of on-site prevention has been completed, by systematically performing visits, occupational training and the identification and correction of non-compliance.
